Congratulations!
So, after a long long time of trying, my cousin brandy is pregnant! hooray! She is going to be expecting in august, and it will be her (and her husband)s first child. When she called to tell me, I joked around with her on whether or not she was going to have just one, or if she was pregnant with triplets.
(the back story to the joke is that Jacob works with my cousin's husband, and there is another guy that they work with who's wife is also pregnant....with triplets......NATURALLY)!
Unfortunetly she will not be able to be one of my bridesmaids anymore due to her increasing size and potential complications, which i can totally agree with. If i were in her position i don't think i would want to be on my feet, on display, in a dress that doesn't fit right, amongst everything else that day. I guess it should not so much matter that certain people are in your wedding, more so that they are there to support you on the big day. So, i am just glad she will be there at my wedding. She still offered to do what she could to help out, and we are going to be addressing all the invitations next thursday evening.
HAHA she totally shouldn't have offered, because I do have so much that i can have her help me with including all the favors and stuff like that. im kidding though, and besides, even though infants seem to detest me, i can't wait for brandy and steves to arrive!

house hunting
So we have decided to buy a house, as if planning the wedding was not already too much! We really have the wedding all under control and have minimal to do, so we both agreed we could take on buying a house as long as it was a house that did not have much work that needed to be done.
We had started talking about buying vs. renting last august, just before we had to renew our lease. We were not going to buy until 2009 maybe even 2010 after we have saved up some cash, but the more i hear about it from friends and family members that have become property owners, the more it is sounding like a good idea. It is a buyers market right now, and having heard that term so frequently, i researched everything about what makes the market the way it is and buying during a time like this vs. waiting, as well as research on the above mentioned buying vs. renting. each time i came to the conclusion that it was a sfe bet to go forth with buying. With that being done, Jacob and I then had to narrow down where we wanted to live. The obvious choice would be the Boston area, but a few of my friends have made the move to the raleigh / triangle area of North Carolina. That area is very pleasing to me, and i have enjoyed it the few times i have visited. But buying a house is a consideration of both people involved, and jacob is firmly rooted on the north shore. We narrowed down to the north shore and eliminated west of boston. We met with a realtor and she showed us some places. We found a condo we both really really liked in haverhill on the north andover line. We are waiting to hear back on our offer, so i will update later!

wedding plans are coming along

So, this is the engagement ring. i know i have been meaning to post one for a while, but i keep getting sidetracked and then sometimes issues with mac's don't allow photos to be upploaded. Sooooo, here it is. We got engaged in January 2007, and Jacob gave me the ring back in September FINALLY after i layed off biting my cuticles. :-P
The wedding plans are moving right along. I cannot believe it is only 4 months away. I think we are more than prepared though. We pretty much have everything done. The only things left are the litte details, such as picking out the readings for the church. We haqve the music selection done, the pew arrangement done. One of the bigger things to do is addressing the invitations. My cousin (one of the bridesmaids) offered to help with that, so maybe i can arrange an invitation party with her, my sister (maid of honor) and my other cousin??? get it all done in one night, right? and jacob can watch some sort of sports game that is bound to be on with steve or something!
